No dense legalese. Here's exactly what we collect, why, and what we never touch.

The short version

If you join our email list, we keep your email address so we can send you the AI-Proof Toolkit and occasional emails from Maya about teaching AI literacy. That's it. We do not collect data about students, and we never sell anyone's information.

What we collect

  • Your email address — only if you choose to subscribe, plus the form context (which page you signed up from).
  • Aggregate, privacy-respecting analytics — page views and country/device class via Cloudflare Web Analytics (cookie-free), plus Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization turned on so we can see which pages teachers find useful.
  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel — when you view a page or sign up for a free resource, the Pixel records that visit or sign-up so we can measure which posts and ads bring teachers to us, and reach similar teachers with our own Facebook/Instagram ads. It sets a first-party cookie. You can opt out anytime — see "Analytics and security" below.
  • Reddit Pixel — same purpose as the Meta Pixel, for our own Reddit ads: it records page views and free-resource sign-ups so we can measure which Reddit posts and ads bring teachers to us, and reach similar teachers. You can opt out anytime — see "Analytics and security" below.

How we use your email

We use your email to deliver the free AI-Proof Toolkit and to send occasional emails about teaching AI literacy, written under our editorial voice "Maya" and reviewed by a former classroom teacher before each send. We send through MailerLite, our email provider, who processes the list on our behalf. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe.

Student data & FERPA

Our lessons are printable PDFs and don't require students to create accounts or submit anything online. We do not knowingly collect any student personally identifiable information (PII), and nothing on this site profiles students. The lesson files we sell are static — they do not phone home, track usage, or report anything about your classroom.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell, rent or trade your information.
  • We don't require an account to use the free downloads.
  • We don't sell your data or run third-party ad networks on this site — the only advertising tools we use are our own Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Reddit Pixel, described below.
  • We don't collect student names, grades, work, or classroom roster information.
How we use AI in our work. AI-assisted drafting, human-reviewed and finalized against ISTE · AI4K12 · CCSS standards before anything ships. We disclose AI assistance inside every product file and never use student data to train or prompt any model.

Third-party tools we use

  • MailerLite — to send the emails and host the resource downloads.
  • Cloudflare — to host the site, deliver the form endpoint, and protect against abuse.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics — for the aggregate page-view data above. No cookies, no personal profiles, no cross-site tracking. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile — a privacy-first bot check on the email sign-up form. Turnstile reads browser environment signals (not stored on your device) to tell humans and bots apart. No cookies are placed on your browser in standard mode. See Cloudflare's Turnstile privacy policy.
  • Google Analytics 4 — helps us see which pages teachers find useful and count visits in aggregate. We turn on Google's IP anonymization setting (anonymize_ip) so the last part of every visitor IP is dropped before it reaches Google. See Google's privacy policy.
  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel — measures page views and email sign-ups so we know which content and ads work, and lets us build audiences for our own Facebook/Instagram ads. It sets a first-party cookie and shares those events with Meta. See Meta's privacy policy, and how to opt out below.
  • Reddit Pixel — measures page views and email sign-ups so we can see which Reddit content and ads work, and build audiences for our own Reddit ads. It shares those events with Reddit. See Reddit's privacy policy, and how to opt out below.

Analytics and security

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page visits and measure how quickly pages load. It works without cookies and produces only aggregate numbers — we see "100 teachers visited the blog this week," not "this teacher visited at 2 pm." No personal profiles are built, and no data is shared with advertisers.

We also use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages teachers find useful and to measure overall traffic — for example, "the prompt cheat sheet post got 300 reads this month," not "this teacher read it twice." We turn on Google's IP anonymization setting (anonymize_ip), so the last part of every visitor IP is dropped before it reaches Google. We do not sell or share personal data, and we collect no student-identifying information. If you'd rather not be counted, a browser do-not-track setting or any ad-blocker will block GA4, and the site works fine without it.

We use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure two things: how many people view our pages and how many sign up for a free resource. Those events let us see which blog posts and ads actually bring teachers to us, and build audiences so our own Facebook/Instagram ads reach similar teachers — for example, "this post drove 40 sign-ups," not "this teacher did X." The Pixel sets a first-party cookie and shares these events with Meta. If you'd rather not be counted, any ad-blocker or tracker-blocker will stop the Pixel, and you can control how Meta uses ad data in your Facebook ad preferences. We never send Meta any student information, and the Pixel is not present in the lesson PDFs themselves.

We also use the Reddit Pixel in the same way, for our own Reddit ads: it measures how many people view our pages and how many sign up for a free resource, so we can see which Reddit content and ads bring teachers to us and reach similar teachers. It shares those events with Reddit. If you'd rather not be counted, any ad-blocker or tracker-blocker will stop the Reddit Pixel, and you can manage ad personalization in your Reddit privacy settings. We never send Reddit any student information, and the Pixel is not present in the lesson PDFs themselves.

We use Cloudflare Turnstile on the email sign-up form to stop automated bots from flooding the form. When you click Subscribe, Turnstile runs a quick, invisible check in your browser — checking signals like your browser type and connection — and lets you through if you look like a real person. It does not place tracking cookies, does not share data with advertisers, and the check takes under a second for almost everyone. Your choices

You can unsubscribe at any time from any email, and you can ask us to delete your address by writing to hello@ailiteracyshop.com. We respond within 7 days.
